There's no question COVID-19 pushed Vermont parents to their limits. They had to manage staying home from work because all non-essential businesses were closed. Parents were responsible for homeschooling their children because schools had to quickly close and switch to online learning. And if that wasn't hard enough, they had to serve as their kids' playmates as they weren't able to socialize with other children for fear of spreading the virus.
Most parents and grandparents took this time to appreciate what it means to be family, to take a step back in time when families were together more often, long before cellphones, the Internet, and Facebook took over our lives.
